Bleeding after Mirena removal
I am really hoping that some one can give offer some advice.
My husband and I decided to start trying for another baby.
I had the Mirena IUD removed 15 days ago, after 2 years of insertion. During the 2 years, I had very light spotting for periods that lasted at most 3 days. The first 4 days after the removal, I had an extremely heavy period with a lot of clotting. Since then, it has been a medium to light flow. After discussing this with my new midwife (don't have a lot of history with her) she said that I needed estrogen, and put me on the pill. (however, it is a combo pill with both estogen and progestin) Plus, I thought it was profestin that was used to regulate bleeding. I am confused, not getting answers from the GP or Midwife that make sense. My feeling is to not take the pill, but am hoping someone might have a similar experience that can expand on what I have been told.
