mirena coil

I am 34, 3 children and had mirena coil fitted 5yrs ago.symtoms have gradually been increasing over last few months and after finding a lump in my groin I visited my gp. I was sent for a ultrasound scan which was clear.blood tests have been clear and my symptoms have been put been down in part 'possibly' to the coil getting old and my muscle aches as being due to anxiety! I have pressure on my bladder and rectum which can be mild to moderate.sweats, mood swings and very emotional at times, becoming tearful at drop of a hat, its embarrassing.groin pain, painful right ovary, pain in lower right side but sometimes spreading under ribs and hips.My shoulders ache and are stiff through out the night and I also get pain in my legs, mainly thighs.I regularly have sleepless nights or interrupted sleep. I often feel need to urinate but no stinging as with cystitis.The lump disappeared (possibly cyst) but everything else still there.Often feel very very tired and achy body. due to all tests being clear I am left feeling like a hyperchondriac but my symptoms are very much for real. My gp has said she will take out the coil due to its age but wants to immediately replace it with another one. I have been searching frantically trying to find out what could be the matter with me and after having read some of the accounts of womens side effects with the mirena I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and that perhaps something as simple as getting this thing out will make me feel well again. I just dont know what to do about getting a new one in as my gp assures me this will allieviate the problems.
