Re: Topamax for Bipolar Disease

I posted a similar reply on the diet roundtable area, but Topamax is not indicated for weight loss and the weight loss may occur as a side effect of the drug. We do not have any large scale studies on this. In terms of weight loss, there are many less dangerous ways to lose weight than altering your psychiatric medication to achieve weight loss. Please discuss them with your doctor or local licensed ND.
