Topamax for Bipolar Disease

I just started topamax last week for mild bipolar disorder as a mood stabilizer to help deal eith the anxiety,insomnia and anxiounous that comes when I cycle. I realize this is not FDA approved for this yet. Also I was told it can cause weight loss. I am not severly overweight,maybe 15-20 pounds. At what dose did you start to lose and how long did it take? Do you steady out after a while? Weight loss aside, I just want to feel better about life, period. thanks. Any advice or information would be useful. sharon
